In Pictures: Limerick's Castletroy College and St Munchin's supporters at Munster Schools Junior Cup clash

CASTLETROY College advanced to the semi-finals of this season's Munster Schools Junior Cup after scoring an exciting 18-16 victory over local rivals St Munchin's College at Thomond Park on Thursday afternoon.

Castletroy's reward for this narrow victory is a semi-final meeting with the winners of the upcoming quarter-final clash of Rockwell College and Ardscoil Ris.

All is not lost for St Munchin's College despite Thursday's defeat. The Corbally side's high finish in their group in the round robin phase of the competition means St Munchin's will get a second chance to advance to the semo-finals via a quarter-final fixture with Limerick rivals Crescent College Comprehensive.

Limerick Leader photographer Adrian Butler was on hand to capture all the colour and excitement from Thursday's Junior Cup meeting of Castletroy College and St Munchin's College.
