LIMERICK property investor Aidan Brooks has secured a record-breaking deal with Apple in Boston.

Numerous media sources in the US have reported this week that Mr Brooks’ London-based investment vehicle Tribeca Holdings has sold 815 Boylston Street in Boston's Back Bay to the global tech giant.

Media reports confirmed documents were filed with the City of Boston on Wednesday which revealed the sale to Apple for $88m.

The public record also disclosed that Mr Brooks purchased the building in 2012 for $27.5m.

The transaction is unusual for Apple, as it typically only leases its stores. When the Boylston Street location opened in 2008, it was the largest Apple store in America.

Apple is the world's most valuable company with a market capitalisation of $3.5 trillion.
