ST MICHAEL’S Day Care Centre in east Limerick embarked on a fundraising drive this summer which culminated in a golf classic and monster raffle at Tipperary Golf Club.
Seventy two teams took to the greens in support of St Michael’s in Cappamore. The resoundingly successful event was driven by a committee of golfers from Slieve Felim Golf Society, daycare centre staff and friends.

Over 170 local and national businesses provided support for this major fundraising drive which helped organisers reach their ambitious target of €60,000.
These much-needed funds will allow St Michael’s to future-proof the delivery of social, physical, and psychological support to seniors throughout east Limerick.
Valerie Clancy, manager of the day care centre, said: “Words cannot express how we feel here at St Michael’s Day Care Centre for the generosity shown to us over the past number of months. We are overwhelmed and give heartfelt thanks to everyone involved.”
Every cent will go back into enhancing, even more, the centre’s facilities for its growing service users.
