HUGE crowds attended the Kilteely-Dromkeen Festival with many famous faces dropping in over the weekend.
One of the highlights of the jam-packed schedule was an adult and juvenile fancy dress party in the hall. Everybody from Donald Trump to Kellie Harrington to Spiderman turned up.
Prior to the festival, chair of the organising committee, Tom Jones asked for mums and dads to get dressed up, along with their children. Local parents and their sons and daughters delivered in spades.
The fancy dress was just one of the many events and fun activities which included a GAA blitz, skittles, tug of war, face painting, talent show, dog show, monster raffle, live music in Ahern’s bar, and lots more.
The hard-working committee will be aiming to build on this year’s success in 2025.
Tom said that following Covid-19, it is so important to motivate local and surrounding communities to mingle and get involved together once again. And this year's festival was the perfect example.
