Monaleen Gaelic4Mothers&Others hosted a quiz night on Friday, June 21 to celebrate 10 years since their first training session in June 2014. Ladies usually join Gaelic4Mothers&Others to try a new skill but the key to its success is the lifelong friendships that result from getting involved.

The annual Munster and National Blitzes are great days but playing at half time during the Ladies Football All Ireland in 2016 and again in 2023 are days that were difficult to surpass. It was an immensely proud day to walk out behind the Artane Band on the Croke Park Pitch and play football.

Monaleen have been selected to play in the New York Festival of Sport this coming October. Forty teams including 36 from Ireland will play in Rocklands GAA, New York. Each county in Ireland will be represented in New York. The ladies will pay their own travel and accommodation costs to go to New York. The quiz will help defray some of the other costs involved over the weekend such as the entry fee to the Festival of Sport and the welcome
reception.

The Gaelic4Mothers&Others initiative is an innovative way to introduce mothers and other women to playing Ladies Gaelic Football. It is an initiative that sees women playing Ladies Gaelic Football in a fun, non-competitive and social environment.
