ISOBELLE Keating, from Grange, county Limerick claimed top honours at the RDS Dublin Horse Show on yesterday afternoon. She completed a clear round aboard Sheeaun Lady Misty and impressed the judges to claim joint top place in the 128cm six and seven year old ponies class. 

Registering a score of 40.25 on her dapple grey mount which was replicated by Chloe Clarke later in the event. Both girls faced a nervous wait to see if that mark would be surpassed.

Then, after all 12 ponies had completed the testing course at the famous RDS venue, and these two shared top honours, with judges scoring them on three categories.

Jumping, future potential and riding ability were the key criteria for all involved with Misty and Isobelle enjoying a superb connection.

The 10-year-old, who attends Knockea National School qualified for the event earlier this summer after placing well in Sligo, after narrowly missing out in Cavan in the first qualifier.

The rising star was cheered on by her family, including proud parents Brian and Deirdre, and her brother, Harry.

Other family and friends cheered her on as well as Vivienne and Tom Moloney, breeder and owner of the 6-year-old pony.
