Online clues point to one major name ahead of Limerick gig announcement

The official announcement comes this Thursday at 8am
IT APPEARS that the mystery surrounding the concert expected to take place in Limerick’s TUS Gaelic Grounds could have been solved as online clues point to one major name…
Limerick GAA’s X account, alongside four other venues across the country, released simultaneous and similar teasers on their social media on Tuesday afternoon with videos showing, what appears to be, music gear being wheeled into each venue with a sticker on the side that says ‘special delivery’.
There is no more information in the short video apart from a date stamp of November 5 ,2027, and a time slot of 8am.
What has added fuel to the concert fire is the fact that major music promoter Aiken Promotions has interacted with these teasers, which suggests that there may be a raft of gigs being held at GAA venues next summer.
Now, this Wednesday, The Concert Celebrity, an Instagram account with a cult following of over 140,000 users, have pointed in the direction of one major act.
The popular account, which is dedicated to concert news, presales and ticket updates, has posted an image that states ‘Garth Brooks. Win two tickets. TUS Gaelic Grounds, Limerick’ along with the caption “Garth Brooks is playing Limerick as part of his 2027 Irish Tour.”
The site has similar posts in relation to Pearse Stadium in Galway and Boucher Road in Belfast
The Concert Celebrity states these posts will be updated tomorrow with both presale information and ticket prices.
Meanwhile, Holler, an online country music magazine is speculating on “a momentous return to Ireland next year” by Brooks.
They too outline how the posts on GAA sites indicate that the ‘Friends in Low Places’ hitmaker may be touring Ireland in 2027.
The country singer has a long and storied history with Ireland - particularly Croke Park - marked by massive sell-out runs, and a famous cancellation controversy in 2014 which lead to a major public uproar.
Brooks last played in Ireland in September 2022 when he performed a series of five sold-out concerts at Croker.
