Rathkeale Parish Christmas: Triduum in preparation for Christmas, Bishop Brendan Leahy will be celebrating Mass in St.Mary’s Chruch Rathkeale on December 8 at 11.30am Mass starting from December 6 to December 8. This is your opportunity to prepare spiritually for Christmas. Fr.Noel Kirwan Director of the Limerick Pastoral Centre, will preach at the opening Mass at 7.30pm on Friday December 6 . There will be several priests available for confession from 6.30pm on Saturday December 7. There will also be confessons after Mass on Saturday followed by an all night Vigil until 9.30am on Sunday morning. Bishop Brendan will celebrate the 11.30 Mass and will be available to meet with parishioners after Mass. The good sisters of Mercy who left their convent in Rathkeale back in April will hopefully attend the ceremony. Bishop Brendan will bless a restored and magnificent carved crucifix and an image of the Divine Mercy. The all night Adoration will go according to townlands and we are inviting the people from each townland to volunteer to pray for one hour. Please sign the sheet at the top of the church if you are interested in spending this time in prayer before the Lord Jesus. Please find below the time allocated to your townland.

Coláiste na Trócaire: Sports: Congratulations to our First Year footballers who had a win against Scoil Mhuire agus Íde this week in Neville Park, they have qualified for the final in the competition which will be held before Christmas. Congratulations also to our ladies Senior Soccer Team who defeated Villiers in Limerick this week.
Shoe Box Appeal: First Year Binchy have been collecting items for the annual shoe box appeal as part of their C.S.P.E project. The boxes will be shipped out to Eastern Europe in the coming weeks.
L.C.A: As part of their V.P.G training the L.C.A 2 class have taken on an assignment involving improving the local environment. They are painting the exterior walls of the Community Centre in Lower Main Street, Rathkeale. They will be working with the local Community Council on the project.
L.C.V.P: Fifth Year L.C.V.P class are collecting old/used mobile phones as a fundraiser for Down Syndrome Ireland. The phones will be recycled by Apple Computers Ireland and they are asking everyone to please check their drawers and old cupboards for unwanted mobile phones and bring them to the school, there is a box in the Office for collection. For every 150 old mobile phones collected the school will receive an iPad.
