Memorial service announced for 'bright, happy little girl' killed in Dublin last week

A Memorial Mass to remember and celebrate the life of Julia Daczkowska will take place on Thursday, October 9 at 11am in St. Canice’s Church, Finglas Village, county Dublin.

5-year-old Julia was found dead alongside her father Krzystof Daczkowski, a driver for Bus Éireann, on Saturday September 27, in what is believed to have been a murder suicide.

Julia's mother Aga made the horrific discovery after returning home from work on Saturday evening and it's feared the father and daughter laid dead for several hours.

Arrangements for a memorial mass for little Julia has been posted on RIP.ie which said:

Julia was a bright, happy little girl who filled every day with laughter, curiosity, and boundless energy. In just a few days, she would have marked her 6th birthday a milestone that now feels bittersweet for all who loved her.

Her sudden and tragic passing has left her family and friends heartbroken. As we come together to honour her memory, we hold her loving mother close in our hearts and prayers as she faces the unimaginable loss of her beautiful child.

Following the Memorial Mass, Julia will be repatriated to Poland, where her Funeral will take place early next week among her extended family and loved ones there.

May Julia’s gentle soul rest in peace, and may she rest where no shadow falls.

Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew the family and little Julia, with one person writing,

"I am so deeply sorry for the traumatic loss of your beautiful daughter. It is a sadness that runs so deep in our hearts as mothers. Praying for you and all of her family. Rest in peace beautiful Julia."

While another said,

"We used to see little Julia on our many laps of the green. It is heartbreaking to think that Julia is no longer with us.
Rest in eternal peace, forever innocent and forever young. Our sincere and heartfelt deepest condolences to Aga on the passing of your precious girl. We are all thinking of you."

A GoFundMe has also been set up for Julia's heartbroken mother to help her in the weeks and months ahead with the unimaginable loss she is suffering. The page has already raised over €18,000 out of a €20,000 goal.
