Irish lotto players could win €30,000 a month for 30 years after major prize boost

EuroDreams has announced the draw on Thursday, October 2, will see a boosted prize giving Irish players the chance to win 30,000 euros per month for 30 years

EuroDreams has announced the draw on Thursday, October 2, will see a boosted prize giving Irish players the chance to win 30,000 euros per month for 30 years, instead of the usual 20,000 euros per month for 30 years. 

They have announced that the super draw will run until the jackpot is won by one lucky player.

The draw game will remain the same where a player must match all six numbers and the Dream number to win the top tier 1 prize, however now they have the chance to win more with the jackpot now being €10.8 million over the 30 year period.

EuroDreams is different from other draw-based game as instead of a lump sum, winners receive monthly tax-free payments.

The Tier 1 prize is typically €20,000 per month for 30 years, totalling €7.2 million. The Tier 2 prize is €2,000 per month for 5 years, totalling €120,000. 

The Thursday, 2nd October draw will see the Tier 1 prize is boosted to €30,000 per month for 30 years.

If the top prize is not won this Thursday, the boosted prize event will continue until there is a winner.

Since its launch in 2023, EuroDreams has already made dreams come true for players across Ireland. Earlier this month, an online player in Co. Wicklow became the first Irish winner of the Tier 1 prize.

Meanwhile, eight Tier 2 winners have also won prizes win with four wins in Dublin, one in Cork, another one in Wicklow, and two winners from Kerry following Monday night's winner.

EuroDreams is played in eight countries, namely Ireland, Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland, with draws taking place every Monday and Thursday evening.

Tickets are available to purchase at National Lottery agents nationwide, online or at www.lottery.ie or through the National Lottery app.
