A popular fast food chain from the USA called Wendy’s is set to open its first Irish store this October.
The franchise is set to open at Mahon Point Shopping Centre in Cork, in partnership with Corrib Oil.
This new chain will create 50 new jobs and recruitment is now underway.
The Irish Times has confirmed that Corrib oil company announced the franchise deal with Wendy’s about six months ago and "it will see 10 locations open in the next two years with about 300 jobs to be created".
Wendy's in the USA offers a wide range of fast food items from combo burger meals to saucy nuggets, but the chain is particularly known for it's Frosty's, an ice-cream dessert.
