Almost €3 million worth of cannabis seized in Limerick during major Revenue bust
Revenue officers in Limerick seized 147kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of approximately €2,940,000 on Thursday.
The major seizure was part of a joint operation by Revenue's Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Limerick Divisional Drugs Unit.
Revenue has said that the seizure was part of their ongoing joint operations involving organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Revenue said: "If businesses, or members of the public, have any information regarding drug smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on phone number 1800 295 295."
Investigations into the seizure are ongoing.
