A five-year-old boy is in hospital with serious injuries following a road traffic collision that occurred in Donegal this Friday evening.
Gardai have confirmed that at approximately 5pm, emergency services were alerted to a collision that involved a pedestrian and car.
The collision happened on the R263 at Largy, Killybegs in the south west of the County.
A male pedestrian, aged just five years, was removed from the scene and taken to Sligo University Hospital. No other injuries were reported at the scene.
The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.

Investigating gardai say the road will remain closed overnight as a technical examination is due to be carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators on Saturday.
Any witnesses or motorists with dash-cam footage from the area are asked to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
