 Tributes flood in as GAA legend dies clearing up storm damage at home

Many have offered their condolences to the family of Michael Coleman as he passed away after cleaning up storm damage at home at the age of 61.

Michael Coleman was a three-time All-Star and won an All-Ireland with Galway in 1988.

A spokesperson for Galway GAA posted a tribute to X, said: "We are deeply saddened to share the news that

@abbeyknockmoyhc clubman Michael, an All-Ireland Senior hurling winner with Galway in 1988 has passed away."

Galway GAA chairperson Paul Bellew said: "Michael was the epitome of everything positive about the GAA and local community. One of our very best on the field and a great man off it. Our condolences to his family, everyone in @abbeyknockmoyhc and his many teammates at club and county level who are in shock today."
