A post-mortem examination was carried out on 36-year-old William Moorehouse by state pathologist Dr Sally Anne Collis on Tuesday.

The preliminary results were provided to the investigating team, but were not being released for operational purposes.

Following the results, gardai said they had now commenced a murder investigation.

Two men aged in their 20s, one man aged in his 30s, who were arrested on Tuesday morning were released without charge.

A file was being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

A child and a man aged in his 20s were later also released without charge, and a further arrest was made on Wednesday.

The man is being detained in a Garda station in the Wicklow/Wexford division.

A senior investigating officer (SIO) was leading the investigation from the incident room at Bray Garda station, and a family liaison officer (FLO) continued to support relatives.

Gardai were appealing for witnesses to contact them and seeking any available camera footage, including dashcam recordings, from anyone who was in the vicinity of a playground off Boghall Road, Bray, at the time of the incident on Sunday.
