Gardaí in Nenagh continue to investigate all the circumstances surrounding the death of Josephine 'Josie' Ray.
Ms Ray was found dead at her home in St Joseph's Park in Nenagh on Sunday afternoon.
The Tipperary woman's funeral took place at St Mary of the Rosary Church in Nenagh today, where she was remembered as a "woman of remarkable presence" who was a "beacon" of the town.
Gardaí said in a statement that two people, a man and woman aged in their 50s, were arrested today (Friday 9th August) in relation to the investigation into Ms Ray's death.
They are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Garda stations in the Southern Region.
Investigations are ongoing.
