Ryanair flight makes emergency landing at Dublin Airport as 'one engine powers aircraft'

The plane was experiencing strong vibrations on the left-hand side, or 'engine one'

A Ryanair flight en route to Knock Airport from Milan, Italy had to make an emergency landing at Dublin Airport this Thursday due to engine issues.

According to aviation enthusiast, Shaun's Aviation on X, who has been following the situation, the plain was experiencing strong vibrations on the left hand side or 'engine one', and because of that, they were "running it on idle", so only one engine was powering the aircraft.

The aircraft diverted to Dublin where engineers were requested. For information, Shaun said: "Emergency Vehicles will hold at the station while RESCUE 15, an airfield patrol van, conducts a runway inspection after the landing."

Upon landing safely, a runway inspection was completed with "nothing to report".

The aircraft was then escorted to stand by operations vehicles and two rescue fire trucks.

It is now being reported that the flight will continue to Knock Airport at 7.30pm this Thursday, and Shaun added: "It appears the same aircraft (9H-VVA) will be used."
