A 23-year-old woman has died following a dog attack in Co Limerick.
Gardaí and emergency services were called to a home in Ballyneety, Co Limerick at approximately 11:40pm this Tuesday.
Gardaí have confirmed that the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
Her body has been removed from the scene to Mid Western Regional Hospital, Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The animal believed to be involved in the incident has now been destroyed. A number of other dogs have been seized.
