Gardaí in Dublin discovered an unregistered taxi driver who was not registered to drive at all while undergoing an operation yesterday.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Our Commercial Vehicle Unit were on an operation with our colleagues at the National Transport Authority yesterday checking the certifications of taxi drivers."

While sharing the statement and an image of the vehicle on X (formerly Twitter), the spokesperson explained: "This driver wasn't just unregistered as a taxi driver, they weren't registered to drive at all."

Court will now follow.
