An unclaimed jackpot win of €202,576 has sparked an appeal for the lucky Irish winner to come forward.
EuroMillions players who purchased their tickets for this Tuesday’s draw in the Mallow area of county Cork are being urged to check their tickets very carefully, as a Cork Match 5 winner is yet to come forward.
The Rebel County player scooped the €200k+ jackpot after matching five numbers in the May 7 draw.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased this Monday, May 6 at Murphy’s Grocery in Rockchapel, Mallow, Co. Cork.
Jerome Murphy who has owned the store with his sister Lorraine since 1988 was thrilled to hear the good news.
“There’s been some amount of excitement around the place since word got out about the win,” he said.
“This is the biggest prize that we have ever sold, so it’s great news all round really – for the winner, the store and the area.
“While we do have a lot of locals who come into us, we do get passing trade and sure for the weekend that was in it with it being the May bank holiday, the winner really could be anywhere. Here’s hoping they check their ticket soon and claim their huge prize.”
The winning numbers of Tuesdays draw were: 35, 36, 41, 42, 45 and the lucky stars were 6 and 11.
