Herbal cannabis worth an estimated value of €3.2m was seized during a vehicle search by gardaí on the M50.
As part of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime activity under Operation Tara, officers attached to the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) seized €3.2m of suspected cannabis during an operation this Wednesday, March 20.
Gardaí intercepted and searched a vehicle on the M50, Dublin 15 at approximately 5pm and found 162 kilograms of suspected herbal cannabis.
They seized the drugs, which have an estimated value of €3.2m.
A man aged in his 50s was arrested and is currently detained at a Garda station in the north Dublin area.
Investigations are ongoing.
