Man dead following 'tragic accident' in takeaway in Midlands on St Patrick's Day
A man has died in the Midlands after a tragic fall in a takeaway restaurant on St Patrick's Day.
The fall has been described by Gardaí as 'a tragic accident'.
It is understood that the man, aged in his early 50s, fell down a stairs at the business which is in Ballylinan in Laois.
It occurred on the evening of St Patrick's Day, Sunday, March 17.
A post mortem will take place and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
The deceased man's name is not yet released.
