The Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty has brought a different aspect to the Friday TV Show
The Late Late Show Valentine’s special which aired last Friday evening was viewed by over 400,000 people and gained no formal complaints.
Before Patrick Kielty's take over, The Valentine’s special had typically become the most complained-about show on RTÉ when it was hosted by previously by Ryan Tubridy.
Firgures released by the national broadcaster revealed that there was no formal complaints received, but five people did phone in to give some "negative feedback" towards the show as an average audience of 399,000 tuned in.
A spokesperson for RTÉ stated "Friday night’s Late Late Valentine’s special was watched by an average audience of 399,000 on RTÉ One and RTÉ One+1.
"On RTÉ Player, Friday's episode has generated almost 26,000 streams so far and across The Late Late Show social accounts, there were 278,874 Total Interactions, with clips from the show getting 3.22 million views.
"There were no formal complaints and five comments with negative feedback regarding last Friday’s Late Late Valentine’s special."
Alongside the Late Late Show the Tommy Tiernan chat show saw an average audience of 411,00 tuning in, an increase of 55,000 viewers compared to the previous week.
