A search has commenced for a fisherman missing off the Louth coast after a fishing vessel got into difficulty off Clogherhead just before 9am this morning.
Another man was recovered and has been brought to hospital by the Rescue 116 helicopter.
Speaking on RTE Radio News at One, Ivan Longmore Divisional Controller of the Marine Rescue Coordination Centre said the MRCC received a Mayday call alerting them that the vessel was sinking approximately one nautical mile off Dunany point in Dundalk Bay.
Clogherhead RNLI Lifeboat and the Greenore CG Unit are currently searching the location.
