A POPULAR tea brand has transformed their tea bag from a traditional pyramid shape to a square shape.
The launch of the new LYONs shaped tea bags includes a new logo and eco-friendly packaging, too.
Fully plant-based and recyclable, the new packaging is 33% more compact than the current box, while the new square tea bags are made with paper and PLA, derived from corn starch.

“To perfectly dovetail with this transition to square tea bags, LYONS is launching its new We’re Square campaign,” said a spokesperson from the company.
“This is a delightful declaration of LYONS’ wholesome, quaint and corny self- or, to put it plainly, its squareness.
“The award-winning blend has been adapted to provide the best-ever flavour release- meaning that the full-bodied flavour and much-loved LYONS essence, which has been putting the talk into tea since 1902, is still at its heart.”
LYONS Tea's new look packs are on shelves nationwide from October with pricing starting from €2.50 for the Lyons Original 40s and €4.00 for Lyons Original 80s.
