RADIO broadcaster and well-known Gaeilgeoir Louise Cantillon presented an international superstar with a Limerick GAA jersey, hurley and a sliotar upon meeting him.
Today FM star Louise had the opportunity to have a sit-down interview American singer-songwriter Teddy Swims as he touched down in Ireland just before the St Patrick’s Day Bank Holiday weekend.
In preparation for meeting Teddy Swims prior to his 3Arena show on Wednesday, March 12, Louise, who is married to Limerick hurling star Declan Hannon, bought a bag of Limerick hurling goodies to present him.
Teddy reportedly “pinky promised” Louise that he would wear a Limerick jersey on stage.

Posting a series of snaps and videos on her Instagram stories, the Kilcornan native said: “A few months ago on the show, he [Teddy] pinky-promised me he would wear a Limerick hurling jersey on-stage in the 3Arena tonight agus amárach.”
Videos of the interaction show Teddy saying “Luimneach Abú” and the two embracing in a hug post-interview.
In a snap after, Louise, who is also part of the hosting trio of the How to Gael podcast, posted to her social media story of the pair holding the Limerick jersey with the caption “suits ya kid!”.
Teddy Swims is a 32-year-old country-pop music star as well as rapper and songwriter, hailing from Georgia in the US. He is currently touring the world, stopping in Ireland for two nights of Dublin shows.
Additionally, Louise is set to host a St. Patrick's Day special on Today FM with her How To Gael podcast co-stars Doireann Ní Ghlacáin and Síomha Ní Ruairc.
'How to St Patrick’s Day' with Louise Cantillon, will be live exclusively on Today FM on St Patrick’s Day between 9am and 11am.

“From the green-lit landmarks of New York and Sydney to the cobblestone streets of Dublin, you'll hear a host of bilingual voices from all corners of the globe,” a spokesperson said.
Louise will also be joined by musical guest Darren Kiely for some live music during the show.
“I am so excited for a really special celebration on-air this Lá le Pádraig, we've been busy catching up with our Irish diaspora across the globe!,” she said.
“From Monserrat to the rainforests of New Zealand, this will be a bilingual celebration of culture and Irishness and of course, the ceol you love. It's a party!”
