Former New Zealand U20 international scrum-half Ben O’Donovan has joined Munster Rugby on an 18-month deal
MUNSTER Rugby have confirmed that former New Zealand U20 international scrum-half Ben O’Donovan has joined the squad from Canterbury on an 18-month deal.
Twenty one-year-old O'Donovan lined out at the 2024 U20s World Championship having come up through the ranks at Linwood Rugby Club in Christchurch.
Meanwhile, the Munster squad is preparing at the High Performance Centre at UL ahead of Saturday’s URC Round 12 clash against Zebre at Thomond Park.
The game kicks off at 5.30pm and is live on Premier Sports 1.

On the international front, Edwin Edogbo, Tom Farrell and Michael Milne have all returned to squad training at the HPC from Ireland Six Nations camp ahead of the game.
Tadhg Beirne, Craig Casey, Jack Crowley and Jeremy Loughman all played their part in Saturday’s record win for Ireland at Twickenham.
Munster report that, on the injury front, there is good news for Alex Kendellen (ankle), Jean Kleyn (head), Calvin Nash (shoulder) and JJ Hanrahan (hamstring) as they all return to training this week.
Tom Ahern is increasing his training load and a decision on his availability will be made later in the week.
John Hodnett (hamstring), Oli Jager (foot), Conor Bartley (neck), Alex Nankivell (foot) and Evan O’Connell (shoulder) are unavailable this week.
