Injury blow for Munster Rugby ahead of crucial URC fixtures

THE Munster Rugby squad is preparing ahead of the holders crucial URC Round 18 clash against Ulster at Thomond Park on Saturday week, June 1, 5.15pm

The interprovincial clash will be the table toppers final game of the regular season with a huge amount at stake for both sides.

On the injury front, Munster Rugby report that centre Alex Nankivell sustained an ankle injury against Edinburgh and will be unavailable for 'the next few weeks'.

Mike Haley was removed following a head injury in the same game at Hive Stadium and is following the graduated return to play protocols.

The availability of Joey Carbery, John Hodnett and Peter O’Mahony for the Ulster clash will be determined next week.

Munster Rugby currently top the URC table and are already guaranteed a home quarter-final in next month's play-offs.

Continuing to rehab: Dave Kilcoyne (shoulder), Diarmuid Barron (foot), Roman Salanoa (knee), Jean Kleyn (knee/eye), Paddy Patterson (knee), Patrick Campbell (shoulder), Josh Wycherley (face).
