A MAN has been arrested and charged by gardai investigating a violent incident at the social welfare offices in Limerick city earlier this week.
The incident which happened at the Intreo premises at Dominick Street in the city centre on Wednesday was described as "frightening" by some of those who witnessed it.
According to several eye-witnesses, a man who was wielding a hammer entered the premises at around midday. He is reported to have been agitated and allegedly caused some damage once inside.
