A POST mortem is being carried out this Monday afternoon on the body of a Polish national who was found dead in Newcastle West at the weekend.
The body of the 51-year-old man was found in an apartment on Lower Maiden Street on Sunday morning.
Gardai were alerted and the man’s remains were removed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital later on Sunday, where a post mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death was due to be carried out today.
A spokesperson for Newcastle West gardai said that foul play is not suspected in the man’s death, and that they are not seeking anyone else in connection with their investigation.
