Calvin Downes, 25, has been located 'safe and well'

A YOUNG Limerick man who was reported missing 24 hours ago has been located 'safe and well', gardai have confirmed.

Prior to being located, Calvin Downes was last seen at Clare Street in the city at around 8am on Tuesday.

In an appeal, issued by the Garda Press Office on Tuesday night, gardaí said both they and Calvin’s family were concerned for his wellbeing.

In an update, issued this Wednesday morning, they confirmed he has since been located.

"Calvin Downes, 25 years, from Limerick city, has been located safe and well. An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance," read the short statement.

It has not been disclosed how or where Calvin was located.
