IRELAND'S rowing women pair of Fiona Murtagh and Aifric Keogh have booked their spot in the semi-final on Wednesday, starting at 9:54 am GMT after a dominant performance when finishing second in their heat. 

Aifric Keogh has strong Limerick family connections with both her parents Jim and Susan Limerick natives. Susan (Deegan) is a native of Janesboro and her husband Jim Keogh is from Mulgrave Street with the family residing in Galway now. 

Keogh was part of the quad that won bronze at the Toyko Olympic Games alongside Eimear Lambe, Fiona Murtagh and Emily Hegarty. She now races in the 2024 Olympics in the double with Fiona Murtagh.
