TREATY United suffered a heart-breaking last gasp defeat to champions Peamount Utd in their Women's Premier Division fixture at the Markets Field on Saturday evening.

Ellen Dolan's 89th minute goal consigned Treaty to a dramatic 1-0 defeat to the Dubliners.

The game remained 0-0 at half-time, although Treaty Utd did come close to breaking the deadlock on a number of occasions in the opening half.

Erin Van Dolder's 15th minute free-kick was tipped over the crossbar by Peamount 'keeper, Niamh Reid-Burke, while Fiana Bradley hit the post with an effort on goal just two minutes before the break.

Both sides created chances in the second period before the outcome was finally decided by Ellen Dolan's excellent finish from just inside the box when she latched onto a pass before firing low into the left corner of the net.

The result sees Dominic Foley' side sit in sixth place in the table ahead of Saturday's All-Island Cup game away to DLR Waves at Whitehall Stadium, 3pm.
