THE Limerick side to host Waterford in the Munster U20 championship at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale this Friday night, 8pm, has been named.
Limerick U20s have had a disappointing campaign to date registering three losses, a 2-17 to 2-15 defeat to Clare in the opening round, followed by a 3-18 to 1-17 reverse at the hands of Tipperary before a 1-25 to 2-20 loss to Cork in their most recent outing two weeks' ago.
As a result, the game against Waterford in Rathkeale this Friday night is in effect a 'dead rubber' game as the top team in the group goes straight through to the Munster final with second and third-placed sides facing off in a semi-final.
Limerick currently sit in fourth on the table with their winless opponents on Friday, Waterford, below them as a result of their inferiors scoring difference.
A win on Friday evening will end the championship off on a brighter note for the Shannonsiders who haven't hit the heights to date.

Looking ahead to this Friday's game with Waterford, Limerick U20 manager Evan Loftus said: “The two-week break leading into the game against Cork definitely brought back a bit of hunger and energy for our lads, so delighted to have a similar run now heading into the Waterford game. We are just looking to improve.”
