THREE Limerick players have been included in the Division 4 team of the 2024 Lidl National Football League.
The Limerick players honoured in the team were full-back Yvonne Lee, midfielder Róisín Ambrose and centre half-forward Deborah Murphy.
The three Limerick players were chosen in side selected by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association’s All-Star committee and presented with the awards at Croke Park on Friday night.
The Division 4 Team of the League included six players from Champions Carlow, three from Limerick, three from Leitrim as well as two from Fermanagh and one from Wicklow.
Limerick secured the most dramatic of 2-10 to 1-11 Lidl Ladies National Football League Division 4 semi-final wins over Leitrim at Pádraig Pearses GAA Grounds in March to reach the league final and secure promotion to Division 3 for next year.
A dramatic goal from Iris Kennelly in the seventh minute of injury time helped a resilient Limerick side secure victory in the semi-final.
Limerick lost out to Carlow 1-7 to 0-6 in the Division 4 league final at Birr last month.
