PICTURES: Support shown for Janesboro against Southend in the Lawson Cup

PLAYED on Saturday evening, Janesboro came through a difficult assignment to take their place in the last eight of the Lawson Cup. 

Calum O’Connell scored early to settle the ‘Boro' nerves and while the home side created plenty, they were unable to capitalise.

'Boro' showed how it was done when Paudie Walsh scored a superb goal to double the lead by half time.

Leon Johnson pulled one back for Southend with an inswinging free kick to set up an exciting finale but the visitors held firm to progress.
