Limerick-based players in Ireland U19 squad to face France U19s

A NUMBER of Limerick-based players have been included in a 28-strong Ireland U19 squad for two fixtures over the Easter period against France U19s.

Head Coach Kieran Hallett has included three players from the Ireland U20s squad who went unbeaten in the Six Nations – Henry Walker, Billy Corrigan, and Emmett Calvey, of Shannon RFC and formerly Ardscoil Ris.

The squad also includes Gene O’Leary Kareem, from last years Ireland U18s, who captained Pres Cork to the Munster Schools Senior Cup title recently and there are three Leinster Schools Cup 2024 winners named in Jack Angulo, Niall Smyth and Tommy Butler from Blackrock College.

Will Wooton, brother of Alex, comes through IQ Rugby. Ireland face France on Wednesday, April 3 in Queens and again on Sunday, April 7 at St. Mary’s College RFC in Templeville Road.
