CO TIPPERARY
Men’s Golf: The Spring League concludes on April 1st, make sure you have all 4 cards played by that date as there will be no further extension. Our first 18-hole competition will commence the following weekend.
The results of the 9-hole Sweep week 21; in 1st place with 27 pts John Kerby, in 2nd place with 21 pts Paudie Carr. Best Gross Ollie Carr with 19 pts. The Two’s winner with €16 per Two; Eoin Dowling, Pat Ryan & Ollie Carr. The results of the 9-hole Sweep week 22; in 1st place with 20 pts Ailbe Maher, in 2nd place with 20 pts Andrew Burke. Best Gross Ollie Carr with 19 pts.
Ladies Golf: Last Tuesday saw some of the ladies out playing a scramble and the winning team consisted of Lady Captain Mary O’Donnell, Rena Ryan, Bernie Kennedy and Katleen Smyth.
On Tuesday evening we were in the Club house for a very informative evening around the rules of handicapping changes from April 1st. Thanks to Frances Boyle for giving the talk and for anyone who was not in attendance there are some information packs in the Ladies Locker room.
Spring League: Our Spring League for 2024 came to a final on Sunday and the Winning team was ‘Red Hot Chilli Chippers’. The winning team consisted of Joanne Horgan Captain, Pauline Walsh, Margaret Ryan, Anne Blake, Maura Maher, Marie Graves and Kitty Byrne. The team in 2nd place ‘The Egal has Landed’ Marie Horgan Captain, Isobel Hayes, Margaret O’Riordan, Pauline Treacy, Carlyn Hyde, Elaine Kinane and Rochelle O’Sullivan. The team in 3rd place in the winter League was ‘Far from Par-fect’ Helena Ryan Captain, Pauline Fitzgerald, Geraldine Ryan, Jenny Lawerence, Annette Murphy, Elizabeth Hayes and Carmel Lowth. Well done to all the winners.
Spring Competition: The Winner of our 11-Hole Spring competition was Marie Horgan with 26pts, in 2nd place Sheena Ryan with 23pts & in 3rd Place Joanne Horgan with 22pts.
The club competition this week is a 13-hole competition please enter in the book and on computer, Best of Luck to all.
