Treaty United seek to build on winning start as Shamrock Rovers visit for All-Island Cup tie

TREATY United senior women's side will look to build on their excellent opening weekend league victory when hosting Shamrock Rovers in the All-Island Cup at the Markets Field this Saturday, 5pm.

Dominic Foley's Treaty United side opened their SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division campaign with an impressive 2-0 victory over DLR Waves at the Markets Field last weekend.

Two second half goals from Republic of Ireland U17 star Katie Lawlee on 53 minutes and Erin Van Dolder 10 minutes later secured all three points for a Treaty United side who are being managed by former Republic of Ireland international Dominic Foley.

Next up for Treaty United in the league is a trip to Tallaght Stadium to face Shamrock Rovers on Saturday, March 30 at 5pm.

However, in the meantime, the two sides go head-to-head in the All-Island Cup in Garryowen this Saturday evening.

Treaty United side are in Group 3 of the competition alongside Rovers, DLR Waves and Crusaders Strikers.

The competition involves 16 teams in total – 11 from the League of Ireland, 5 from the Northern Ireland Football League – split into four groups of four teams.

Once the Group stages are complete, the quarter-finals ties will take place on week ending June 23rd before the competition moves to the semi-finals on week ending July 21st and then finishing with the Final on week ending August 18th.
