LIMERICK senior footballers target a much-needed opening victory in Division 3 of the Allianz Football League when travelling to Mullingar on Sunday to take on high-flying Westmeath.
While Limerick prop up the Division 3 table, one of three sides yet to record a win after three series of games, Sunday's opponents at TEG Cusack Park in Mullingar, Westmeath, have won each of their opening three league fixtures this year.
Limerick have an inferior score difference to two other winless sides in Division 3, Wicklow and Offaly, and will be desperate to claim victory in Mullingar on Sunday in order to boost their hopes of avoiding a second successive relegation. Limerick host Clare in Mick Neville Park on Saturday, March 2 at 6pm.
