Munster players run out before the match with Africa Select XV at Páir Uí Chaoimh last November
THE green light has been given for Munster Rugby to face the Crusaders in Cork early next year.
Munster Rugby confirmed this Saturday that approval has been granted for the province to make a return to Páirc Uí Chaoimh in February of next year to face Super Rugby champions, the Crusaders.
Munster confirmed in recent days that formal approval had been sought for the use of Páirc Uí Chaoimh for their ‘Clash of Champions’ fixture against the Rob Penney-coached Crusaders side.
The GAA’s Central Council on Saturday granted approval for the fixture to go ahead at the Cork GAA venue on Saturday, February 3, 5pm.
Munster Rugby added that ticket information with pre-sale and general sale details would be posted on the province's website http://munsterrugby.ie this Monday.
It will be the first time ever the reigning champions of the URC and Super Rugby face off against each other. The Cruasders will be coached by former Munster Rugby head coach Rob Penney next season.

Munster played at Páirc Uí Chaoimh for the first time last November against South Africa ‘A’ with the event proving a great success for supporters and the squad.
Following a huge uptake in the pre-sale, all stand tickets were sold-out within minutes of the tickets going on general sale. All tickets were sold-out within four days of going on general sale.
