AFTER a three-week break, the Limerick Ladies football team have trips North on consecutive weekends to round off the Lidl National League Division 3 campaign.
Up first is a trip to Down on Sunday before heading to Fermanagh seven days later.
After five consecutive defeats, Limerick look set to drop back to Division 4.
In fact, defeat for Limerick on Sunday would confirm their relegation to Division 4 with one round to play.
However, with All-Ireland Junior Championship opponents Carlow and Sligo operating in the bottom division, and London not playing in the National League, it is an opportunity for John Lynch’s young side to play against a better quality of opposition ahead of the summer championship.
With so much change in the Limerick set up since last season, the focus for Lynch is very much on the last week of May and the start of the Championship.

Promotion-chasing Down lost last time out against Fermanagh, a defeat which snapped a three-match winning run.
Despite the defeat, the Mourne County have been clinical in front of goal this season, raising 13 green flags, including seven against Clare.
Limerick on the other hand are the lowest scorers in the division, scoring just 2-33 in their five games to date.
The round 6 clash gets underway at 2pm.
