THE 3Dental Limerick ladies football championship will reach it's pinnacle on Sunday, October 6 with the Senior and Intermediate County Finals taking place as a double header fixture in Cappamore.

Final places were booked over the weekend with the semi-finals producing some fantastic games of football. In the 3Dental Limerick senior ladies championship final, Ballylanders will take on St Ailbe's on October 6 at 3.30pm. Ballyanders' were the more dominant team in their semi-final against Old Mill, winning out on a scoreline of 2-7 to 1-5.

In the second semi-final St Ailbe's came out on top against rivals Monagea, who were targetting their fourth county final appearance in-a-row this season, but St Ailbe's had other ideas. Ailbe's ran out two-point victors, 1-12 to 2-7, in a highly competitive game.

After losing their senior A quarter-finals, four teams from that grade moved into the senior B competition with that final also fixed for October 6 at 11am in Croom between Dromcollogher-Broadford and Oola.

This means that Galtee Gaels, who were only promoted to the senior ranks this season, and Feohanagh-Castlemahon will contest the relegation final which is set to take place at 11am in Fedamore that same Sunday.

Meanwhile, in the 3Dental Intermediate Championship, Knockainey will face Mungret St Paul's in this year's county final also on October 6 at 1pm.

Knockainey have looked very strong throughout the campaign, going straight through to last weekend's semi-finals after topping group one. In the end they were much stronger than Murroe Boher, booking their intermediate final spot with a 4-7 to 1-7 success.

Mungret St Paul's did extremely well to book their place in the final following a highly competitive semi-final game against Fr Casey's, with Mungret winning narrowly by two points.

The junior A championship has also reached the knock-out stages with the semi-finals taking place between Pallasgreen and St Senan's on October 6 at 11am in Ballybrown and Croom against Monaleen in Askeaton also at 11am on Saturday, October 5.

Semi-finals in the junior B competition will also take place on October 5 with Galtee Gaels taking on Monagea in Fedamore GAA pitch at 5pm. In the opposing semi Mungret St Paul's will face Gerald Griffins in the Bog Garden, Rahtkeale at the same time.

There will also be a junior novice final thrown into the mix on Saturday 5 with Dromcollogher-Broadford facing off against Old Mill in Coolyroe at 5pm.

Teams there were unsuccessful in the junior B championship have dropped down to junior C with the first of those semi-final's taking place on Wednesday, October 2 between Granagh-Ballingarry and Oola on the North Campus Pitch in UL at 8pm. Cappagh will play Knockainey in the second of the C semi-final's on October 5 at 5pm in Croom.
