THE Limerick District League Junior Soccer season continues apace as we head into the business end of the season.
Tonight (Wednesday) Aisling Annacotty host Pike Rovers in Annacotty with the prize on offer a place in the last four of the Tuohy Cup competition.
Pike will be hoping to bounce back after a disappointing defeat to Bridge in the MFA Cup last weekend. The Hoops are in a transition phase but are still a match for any side on their day.

Aisling will provide a stern test. They have lost just once in fourteen games and that was back in November.
They started the season slowly but have been progressively improving. It promises to be a cracking cup tie. Note kick off time is 6.30pm.
On Thursday evening, LDL Premier League leaders Fairview Rangers have the chance to restore a four-point lead at the top of the table when they host Athlunkard Villa.
The Blues had to dig deep to see off Nenagh in the Tuohy Cup last weekend but succeeded in keeping the winning habit.
Villa have settled in well to the top flight and while this is probably not a tie they would earmark as a potential three pointer, it’s worth remembering in their corresponding tie in Athlunkard at the start of the season, Fairview just scraped out a 3-2 comeback win.
On Sunday next, Pike Rovers visit Mungret Regional. The sides drew 1-1 earlier in the season and it could prove just as close this time out.
While Pike are well behind the leaders, they have two games in hand and full points from those would see them just four points adrift, so there is plenty of incentive.
Corbally Utd will be hoping to escape the drop zone but face a tough ask at Janesboro. Likewise, Nenagh and Geraldines who host Aisling Annacotty and Regional Utd respectively.
We have two sides in Munster U17 Cup quarter final action, both on the road.
Pike Rvs travel to Villa FC IN Waterford, never an easy ask while Aisling travel to Douglas Hall IN Cork.
In the Premier A league, leaders Star Rvs host Prospect hoping to keep their form going.
The clash of second placed Moyross Utd A and Newport Town could be the game of the day.
Moyross are sitting pretty in second place with games in hand. Newport, without a win in four games, but still withing touching distance of the promotion spots, will be mote than determined to halt the slide.
Kilmallock Utd A will be looking to get back to winning ways at Caherdavin Celtic while Regional Utd B can keep their title charge on course if they can beat Summerville Rovers.
Division A leaders Herbertstown A host Ballylanders while second placed Shelbourne visit Granville Rangers.
Ballynanty Rovers B have a nine-point lead over Pike in Division 1B but have played three games extra. They will be looking to maintain that advantage when they visit Croom Utd. Pike Rovers B welcome Lisnagry A to Crossagalla.
Division 2A leaders, Hyde Rgs visit Castle Rovers while in Division 2B, it’s second v first when Mungret Regional C host Caherdavin Celtic B.
