League fixtures take centre stage in Limerick District League junior soccer action

THIS weekend’s junior soccer action again focuses on league action with the various divisions presenting some intriguing clashes.
In the top-flight champions Fairview Rangers quest to retain their title is beginning to look ominous for any pretenders.
The Blues have a seven-point gap at the top of the table and don’t look like easing up.
They took another three points last weekend with a 2-0 win over Mungret.

This Saturday evening Janesboro are visitors to the Fairgreen. Boro had a good win last weekend beating Geraldines 3-2 Boro have shown that they are capable of causing an upset but their chances be thwarted somewhat by the absence of top scorer Shane Clarke.
Ballynanty Rovers slipped up last weekend going down to Aisling in what was their first league defeat of the season. They will be hoping to get back to winning ways on Sunday when they host a sticky Mungret Regional XI.
Pike Rovers will be expected to keep their challenge on track when they host Corbally Utd.
Aisling Annacotty are quietly climbing the table and will be hoping to keep their momentum when they visit Athlunkard Villa while the remaining Premier game sees Geraldines at home to Regional Utd.
The big game in the Premier A League sees two of the three joint leaders cross swords when Moyross Utd A welcome Kilmallock Utd in what should prove to be a thriller.
Fellow leaders Star Rovers will be expected to continue their winning ways at bottom side Southend.
Newport Town, silently sitting in fourth with games in hand, travel to Charleville Carew Park, under new boss Mike Aherne welcome Summerville Rovers.
Division 1A is getting tighter at the top. Herbertstown suffered their first league defeat in 30 months when they fell 4-3 to Murroe last weekend.
They will get nothing easy this weekend when they visit a very good Granville XI.
After their heroics last weekend Murroe face another tough ask this weekend when they visit fellow challengers Holycross.
Division 1B joint leaders Ballynanty Rovers B host Kilmallock Utd B while fellow to side Pike Rovers B go to third placed Nenagh B.
In Division 2B second placed Mungret Regional C host leaders Caherdavin Celtic B in the top game while fellow second placed Fairview Rangers travel to Geraldines B.
In the Munster FAI U17 Cup Pike Rovers travel to Abbeyfeale Utd while Mungret are on the road to Cork to meet Douglas Hall.
Aisling Annacotty take on Newport Town.
In the last 16 of the Munster Youth Cup Murroe host Fairview Rangers while Corbally Utd welcome Waterford Bohemians.
