JANESBORO moved into third place in the table with a 3-1 win over Balla at Pearse Stadium.

‘Boro opened the scoring when Brendan O’Dwyer’s free kick was headed home by Shane Clarke.

The ‘Boro striker scored again from a Dion Lynch corner to increase the home side’s lead and also move to the top of the scoring charts with his 21st of the season.

Early in second half Adrian Power’s shot was blocked but the rebound fell Kane Connolly who swiveled and finished from 12 yards to reduce the deficit.

The home side had the final say, again from a set piece when Aodh O'Hanluain’s corner kick was headed across goal by Clarke and Tony Burns opened his ‘Boro account to complete the scoring.
