LIMERICK'S Cathal O'Neill has been selected as the GAA Hurler of the Week after a superb performance in the Allianz Hurling League win over Galway.
The Crecora-Manister man struck 1-6 from play as John Kiely's men held on for a two-point win despite a late resurgence from the 'Tribesmen'.
“Cathal’s form has been strong in the last four games in particular," Kiely said. "He had a bit of a hamstring injury over the course of the winter but has come back strong.
“I think he has just really settled into regular game time, he’s getting the best out of himself, he’s playing to his strengths, I thought his performance tonight was fantastic really.
O'Neill was joined on the Team of the Week by Doon's Adam English.
Elsewhere, there were players from Kilkenny, Kerry, Tipperary, Wexford, Dublin, Cork, Galway and Down listed in the selection.
