DOON and Na Piarsaigh will meet in this year's Whitebox Property Developments LTD Limerick senior hurling championship final on Sunday October 19 in the TUS GaelicGrounds at 3:30pm.

Holders Doon produced a storming second half display to overcome Ballybrown 2-21 to 0-14 in their semi-final showdown at Kilmallock on Sunday evening. Na Piarsaigh booked a return to the showpiece final thanks to a 2-20 to 1-17 semi-final victory over Kilmallock.

This will be a repeat of last year's county final when Doon defeated Na Piarsaigh 0-16 to 2-9 in the 2024 showpiece decider.
Na Piarsaigh have booked their place in their sixth Limerick SHC final in the last seven years, while this is the first time Doon have reached back-to-back county finals in the club’s history.

Adrian Breen was in fine scoring form raising two green flags for the Caherdavin side in their semi-final victory.
Breen feels Na Piarsaigh are getting stronger as the championship goes on.

“We are getting players back on the pitch, big players aswell for us. We are still missing Conor Boylan, you can see Peter (Casey) is absolutely flying having all those big names back collectively training day in day out just raises the competition through the roof. That's the sign of a healthy squad, we're really looking forward to the final and trying to get everybody back on the training field,” Adrian Breen told Leader Sport after Na Piarsaigh's victory over Kilmallock.

The Na Piarsaigh sharpshooter, who finished up with 2-1, described Shane O'Neill's side's performance as clinical which saw them defeat Kilmallock by six points.

“Our first half was clinical, we just really struggled to put that second half on top of it. It's something that we are trying to work on, coming out having a strong third quarter when we find ourselves in a position when we are seven points up.”

Doon’s Pat Ryan said reaching the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship final shows 'a sign of consistency.

“We've been in a lot of semi-finals in the last ten years, maybe eight in the last ten years and had never won two them in-a-row. I think that's a big monkey off the back and a sign of a bit of consistency which is what we are looking for," said Pat Ryan after his side's victory over Ballybrown.

Ryan is looking forward to the county final against Na Piarsaigh.

“I'm looking forward to it now, we're well used to playing them at this stage over the years. We know ourselves going into a final against Na Piarsaigh, we've experienced both ends of the sword.

“Na Piarsaigh will be looking from revenge from last year and we still owe them from other finals. We're trying to get as much on the board as we can,” added Ryan.

The Limerick county champions will play Ballygunner in the Munster club senior hurling championship quarter-final on November 2 in the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
