THE FIXTURES for round five of the Whitebox Limerick Senior Hurling Championship have been announced. All six games in the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship take place next Saturday September 13.
In Group one, table toppers Na Piarsaigh face Patrickswell in Claughaun on Saturday September 13 at 3pm. Na Piarsaigh have also secured their place into the SHC semi-finals, while Patrickswell have suffered relegation into group two. Two hours later at 5pm, Doon take on Ahane in Cappamore and Ballybrown meet Kilmallock in Newcastle West at the same time.
County champions Doon have secured knockout hurling but Derek McGrath's side will aiming a victory to advance directly into the semi-finals. Ahane, Kilmallock and Ballybrown are all aiming to reach the quarter-finals.
After's Ballybrown's narrow weekend defeat to Doon in round four and Kilmallock's loss to Na Piarsaigh, the clash between those two clubs is effectively a knockout clash as defeat for either side would mean elimination should Ahane overcome Doon. A win is all that can keep Ahane in the championship and they will need Ballybrown or Kilmallock to suffer a defeat to reach the last six.

All of the games in group two throw-in at 2pm on next Saturday September 13. Adare take on Newcastle West in Mick Neville Park at 2pm, Mungret St Paul's face Dromin-Athlacca at the same time in Bruff and Monaleen complete their group campaign against Kildimo-Pallaskenry in Clarina.
After missing out on promotion to Group one last year, Monaleen sealed promotion into Group one of the SHC in round four. Eoin Brislane's side have also booked their place in the quarter-finals.
Adare are in second place on five points in group two of the SHC. Mark Foley's side are in pole position to reach knockout hurling if they defeat Newcastle West in their final group game.
Mungret St Paul's need a victory over Dromin-Athlacca in their final group game and need Newcastle West to defeat Adare for the city side to reach the SHC quarter-finals.
Newcastle West, Kildimo-Pallaskenry and Dromin-Athlacca are all battling out to retain their senior status for the 2026 season. The Magpies and Kildimo-Pallaskenry sit on three points after four games. However, Newcastle West can still qualify for the quarter-finals if they defeat Adare and Dromin-Athlacca get the better of Mungret St Paul's.
Newcastle West are on three points with a scoring difference -2, while Kildimo-Pallaskenry are on three points with a scoring difference -6. Dromin-Athlacca look like favourites to make the drop to the premier intermediate grde sitting on one point after four games.
