TWO rounds of the Whitebox Limerick Senior Hurling Championship have been played and Na Piarsaigh, Kilmallock and Doon sit joint on the top of the table in group one on three points.
Ballybrown are in fourth place on two points and Ahane are on one point after their draw with Kilmallock. Patrickswell are yet to register any points in group one of the SHC.
Doon manager Derek McGrath says last year’s county final victory has instilled a strong sense of belief in the east Limerick side.
“It's a bit of confidence I would say, if you are years trying to make the breakthrough and then you get over the line there might be some confidence if you like,” said Derek McGrath.

Mungret St Paul's and Newcastle West have both recorded two draws in the SHC. Adare sit in fifth place on one point, while Dromin-Athlacca are yet to register a point.
Adare manager Mark Foley feels his club have work to do if they are to get back competing in the SHC.
“We are very conscious that there is a huge job of work to be done at both underage and senior. We have started, we will build and we will get better,” said Foley.
Meanwhile, Newcastle West manager Derry McMahon said his side's aim is to go to the next level.
“Our aim is to get to the next level, that's where we want to go. If we are to be realistic, our aim is we want to try and get up to Senior A,” said McMahon.
